1/ You should start specifying sample files so that we can extend the polytec function.

2/ I modified the mesh loading to take into account cases where multicomponents are defined (I group them as a node set with the name given during the measurement)

You have been added a junior developer to this project so you can start getting a SVN copy that contains the polytec.m file. We probably need to talk to get you up to speed on this, but once this is done, you can probably continue the development.

I made two measurements of a plate.

1) The first one is a measurement with the "FFT polytec protocol" typically used for EMA studies. The results are stored in "Scanplate_fft.svd" which should contain :

- Info about settings used for the measurement (I stored them by exporting the file "Scanplate_fft_Info.txt" from the polytec software)
- The 2D and 3D alignment
- The measured data (frequency responses of the velocity in the three directions and of the force from the hammer impact). I don't know if they store data from each head and do the conversion in the cartesian coordinate system (with the 3D alignment) or if they store data directly in the cartesian coordinate system.


2) The second one has been done in the same conditions with the 'Time polytec protocol". The results are stored in "Scanplate_time.svd" which should contain :

- Info about settings used for the measurement (I stored them by exporting the file "Scanplate_time_Info.txt" from the polytec software)
- The 2D and 3D alignment
- The measured data (time responses of the velocity in the three directions and of the force from the hammer impact). I have the same question about how coordinate system is used to store data.

You can directly visualize the results with the .unv files :
1) In "Scanplate_fft.unv", I stored :
- The node coordinates
- The patches
- The H1 estimator Velocity(X,Y,Z) / Force (no way to export in the head coordinate system)
2) In "Scanplate_time.unv", I stored :
- The node coordinates
- The patches
- The time responses in the cartesian coordinate system (no way to export in the head coordinate system)

I sent all the files to Guillaume VDR via GlobalX, the platform used by cbi for big data transfer, he should have received a mail with the link to download them.
